Wind and Stone
25 December concert at Yebisu Garden Hall

As 2005 comes to a close, Yasuaki Shimizu will perform in a solo concert interweaving Bach and the pentatonic scale on tenor saxophone—in his first Japan concert since his successful performances of these new works in Paris. The acoustic engineering is set to transform the venue into a massive underground space. Elizabeth, the multichannel speaker based on an original idea by Shimizu and designed by sculptor Ichiro Sato that debuted at Hamanako Pacific Flora in 2004, will also be there to charm audiences in all her delightful heptagonal, flower-like glory this time with her twin.
